2027 Endorsement: Anyaso Aligns with Ukwa La Ngwa Bloc, Backs Otti’s Leadership.

A prominent billionaire investor and philanthropist from Igbere, Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso, has joined leaders and stakeholders of the Ukwa La Ngwa region in endorsing Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, for a second term in office in 2027.

Dr. Anyaso, popularly known as Ofuji Ndị Igbo, made his position known during a grand civic reception organized in honour of the Governor at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.

He commended Governor Otti’s administration, describing its performance as transformative and impactful across critical sectors of the state’s development.

Dr Anyaso said the Governor’s leadership has redefined Abia State’s development trajectory.
“Governor Otti is truly deserving of these accolades,” he said. “He has profoundly transformed the narrative of Abia State across virtually every sector, thereby justifying the trust and confidence reposed in him by the people.”

In his response, Governor Otti expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing the endorsement from his people as deeply meaningful.

“There is a saying that a prophet is without honour in his own land,” the Governor said. “The best and most fulfilling reception is the one from your own people. I sincerely thank the organizers and the team that has pledged to purchase the nomination forms for the 2027 election.

This support will never be taken for granted.”
Earlier, the spokesperson of the Ukwa La Ngwa people, Chief Theo Nkire, praised the Governor for revitalizing the state’s economy, with particular emphasis on the ongoing transformation of Aba into what he described as a fast-emerging world-class industrial and commercial hub

The endorsement was further reinforced by traditional rulers from the Ukwa La Ngwa Nation, who presented symbolic gifts to the Governor. In a joint declaration, the monarchs expressed unwavering support for the Otti administration, vowing that the region would “not go back to Egypt,” a metaphorical reference to previous political eras in the state.

The event attracted a large gathering of traditional rulers, political leaders, captains of industry, and other stakeholders from across the country, underscoring growing support for Governor Otti’s “Rebuilding Abia” agenda ahead of the 2027 elections.
