ISSA Class of 2000 Holds Memorable Reunion at Gerah Hotel, Ogbor Hill Aba

The Iheorji Secondary School Aba (ISSA) Class of 2000 held its annual get-together on Sunday at Gerah Hotel, Ogbor Hill, Aba, drawing members from near and far for a celebration marked by unity, reflection, and gratitude.

In his address, the President of ISSA Class of 2000, HRH Eze David Jonah, expressed profound gratitude to God for sustaining the members of the class in good health and strength 25 years after they left secondary school.

He noted that the ISSA Class of 2000 remains the largest set in the history of Iheorji Secondary School, adding that they also stand out as the only set whose members have remained united and consistent in their reunions..

Eze Jonah described the class as a group blessed with “wonderful individuals who are excelling in various fields,” and prayed that God continues to protect, guide, and grant them long life and prosperity.

Also speaking at the event, a retired Agricultural Science teacher of the school, Chief Onyenweaku I. O (JP), expressed joy and pride in the achievements of the Class of 2000.

He reminisced about the years when he and other teachers were “inculcating and molding” the students efforts that some of them misunderstood at the time but which have now helped shape them into responsible and successful members of society.

Chief Onyenwaku also appreciated the class for turning out in large numbers during the burial of a fellow teacher Late Mr. D.C. Azuogu recently laid to rest in Olokoro, Umuahia South LGA of Abia State.

The high point of the event was the presentation of awards to several distinguished members of the association who have excelled in their various endeavors and contributed significantly to the growth and unity of the group.

The reunion ended with a renewed commitment among members to continue supporting one another and upholding the legacy of ISSA Class of 2000.
