FAMILY DEMANDS WHEREABOUT OF THEIR DETAINED ONLY SON

The family of one Mr Ifeanyichukwu Chibuzor of Nkata Ibeku in Umuahia North LGA,have called out to the general public and well meaning Individuals including the Abia state Police Command especially the Central police station Umuahia to help them locate the whereabout of their only son Mr Ifeanyichukwu Chibuzor..
Narrating their ordeal to pressmen in Umuahia, the mother of Ifeanyichukwu Chibuzor who was arrested and detained at the Central police station Umuahia.
5 days after ,the Senior sister to Ifeanyichukwu miss Adaku. Chibuzo came to the station to see her 22 years old detained brother but could not see him despite the fact that she has been visiting the brother in the cell .According to her , on enquiry, the police officers on duty told her that her brother have been transfered to Aba .
Every effort made by the young lady to trace her brother and only son of the family proved abortive . She said she have gone to Aba, Arochukwu police stations in search of her brother Mr Ifeanyichukwu and could not find him , hence their recourse to a court where they got a ruling ordering the police to produce Mr Ifeanyichukwu Chibuzor to the court dead or alive . No response was made to this effect .consequent upon this , the family got another judgement that ordered the force to pay to the family the sum of 200 million naira for failure to produce Mr Ifeanyichukwu Chibuzo who was arrested 9 months ago .The family produced evidence of both rulings of the Court .
The mother of Ifeanyichukwu Chibuzor ,
a 58 years old widow, Mrs Justina Chibuzor has cried out for help over the inability to see her 22 years old son, Ifeanyichukwu Chibuzor who was arrested on the 9th of April 2025 by the police and after five days of his arrest, his were about in police custody became a mystery.
She said her son deserve the right to be brought out to face a fair hearing in a competent court of jurisdiction if he has committed any offence .
Reacting over the incident, the lawyer handling the case, Barr. Chimereze Onuigbo said he came across the matter May/June 2025 and visited both Central Police Station and Command, saw the IPO and DPO who are handling the matter but unfortunately no substantial information about the whereabout of the young boy was given to him.
According to the lawyer , he also visited the OC legal he said the boy is not in his custody, he went to headquarters at the anti kidnapping unit, SIB unit but unfortunately his name is not in any nominal role. It was obvious that the police was not cooperating I had to take the matter to court”
He said even when the police made a press conference at the end of the year from January to December 2025 and gave account of those arrested, their names and offences, Ifeanyichukwu s name and offence was not among them .
In a court Order made available to our reporter, on the 22nd of July, 2025, his lordship Hon. Justice KCJ Okereke directed the police to produce Mr Ifeanyi Chibuzor before his court dead or alive on Tuesday 29th of July 2025
The court order further mandated that the respondents to restrained from further transferring or tempering with the person of the said Mr Ifeanyi Chibuzor pending the hearing of substantive motion, that the returnable date is fixed for 29/7/2025.
The Barrister disclosed that through out the period, police did not honour the court Order and subsequently the court in his judgement same last year directed the police to pay the family the sum of two hundred million naira.
Every attempt to see the Police Public Relations Office DSP Moureen Chinaka failed as our reporter was told that she was sick and did not come to work. But later when a phone call was put across to her she said there is a procedure.
Further attempt to see the commissioner of police was also stalled as the press men were told that there is a process in which we can see the commissioner of police and we cannot just walk into the CP office without due process.
