Former Deputy Governors Pledge Grassroots Mobilization for Nation Building

Forum of Former Deputy Governors of Nigeria has pledged its commitment to continue to champion efforts that will engender citizens mobilization, especially at the grassroots, for national development.

The leadership of the forum at its event in Abuja, explained roles by the forum, to galvanize action that will foster the needed collaboration in the nation building process.

According to the National Chairman of the forum, Dr. Chris Akomas disclosed that the forum is spurred by the interest, willingness and commitment for nation building, even as he stated that what gives the members courage is that they believe that they can achieve the best they can, for the country.

 

Dr. Akomas further disclosed that the forum participates in national discourse to ensure that their ideas, contributions are properly documented, just as he stated that most of these resolutions have been attended to by the President Tinubu’s administration.

Speaking, Senator Wammako urged the former deputy governors to leverage their institutional memory to bridge gaps between state and federal policy making, stressing that leadership is a continuous responsibility, good governance and accountability.

Contributing Pauline Tallen, former Minister of Women Affairs, promised that the forum will remain united and won’t fail Nigerians, but will always support the leadership of the country.
