GOV. OTTI ASSURE ABIANS OF FREE AND FAIR ELECTION RESULTS COME 2027 SAYS I WILL NOT DEFECT

Abia state governor Dr Alex Chioma Otti have declared that he will not defect to another political party no matter what and that 2027 election results in the state will never be manipulated .

Speaking during the monthly Media chat with pressmen on Thursday evening at the banquet hall of government house Umuahia, the governor while responding to questions stated that he has heard it that some politicians from the opposition party are saying they would rewrite election results in the state. He made it clear that this will never happen in the state saying who ever is planning to do this , should first go and write his or her will ..

Speaking on the negative responses of the Deputy Speaker House of Representatives Abuja , RT.Hon. Benjamin Kalu against his government’ the governor said the Rep. member should be able to respect the law of the land noting that his declarations at some fora that his party APC would take over Abia state come 2027 indicates that he had kicked off his Political campaign and this the governor said is against INECs rules on campaign . He wondered if Ben kalu is actually the number 6 man in the country saying that the number 6 man in Nigeria should be the Deputy Senate President and not the Deputy Speaker House of Representatives . He cautioned that some of the utterances of the Deputy Speaker may cause unrest in the state, and this may not be the best for the state .

The governor commended some Agencies in the state such as the Abia State Environmental Protection Agency ASEPA for keeping Aba, Umuahia and Ohafia clean . He said the state is going into the next stage which is recycling waste into wealth . His government’ he said is engaging with a potential partner to start the recycling of waste into wealth in the state .

He disclosed that his government’ is making frantic efforts for Abia state to fully acquire some indegeneous companies such as Aba textile Mills, Aba Glass Industries , Star Paper mill Aba among others with the aim of resuscitating them not just for revenue generation alone , but for job creation .

On Education , he noted that schools renovation is on going , delapidated buildings are being pulled down for new ones and the newly recruited teachers have been posted to schools. The governor said about additional 4000 teachers are need as the initial 5000 teachers so far engaged were not enough for the schools . He observed that upgrade of infrastructure and employment of new teachers have boosted the enrollment of pupils in public schools . He said over 90 percent of schools in the state need. renovation , he stated that all must be renovated but it shall be in stages .

Gov. Otti from his address disclosed that his administration have made impact on all sectors of the state , he promised not to stop working till the end of his administration.
