HOW ABIA STATE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION TECHNICAL AROCHUKWU REGAINED ACCREDITATION OF 24 LOST PROGRAMS

ABIA State governor Dr Alex Otti have stated that the laudable efforts made by his government’ in the Educational sector, have led to the accreditation of 24 courses in Abia State College of Education Technical Arochukwu.
The Chief Executive announced this during the November 2025 edition of the monthly Media chat with the governor which took place at the banquet hall of government house Umuahia .
He explained that the school lost the accreditation of these Courses in the past administration but today the courses have been restored back to the school .
He noted that the college is equally undergoing infrastructural turn around.as work is currently on going at the hostels , lecture halls , classrooms including the roads . He noted that he wants the school to be a proper training ground for teachers .
The Governor also announced that additional buildings have been completed at the permanent site of the Dr Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic Aba and would soon be commissioned.
The State Chief executive noted that the Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic Aba has been supportive of the State government in the area of producing ASEPA refuse buckets being used across Abia and Ebonyi States .
Governor Otti said before the end of the year, the electric buses which are now domiciled in the state wil soon commence operation to reduce the cost of transportation in the state .
Governor Otti revealed that his government has issued about 3,562 Certificates of Occupancy in the last two and a half years . He said some states have not been able to issue up to this number in 8 years .
“The whole idea is to unlock the value that we are hitherto locked by the difficulty in
in the process of issuing the certificates “.
The process he explained have been automated to further remove encumbrances Associated with the issuance of certificate of occupancy.
The Governor also declared his preparedness to clear all backlog of funds owe pensioners in the state .
