The MOUAU Business School and the newly appointed Board Members of the business School have been Launched and inaugurated respectively
performing the function , the Founder of the school Prof Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe the VC of MOUAU ,said he is happy that the school was a dream come true .

He described the School as an Academic Institution of Strategic importance saying that the occasion calls for inner reflection due to the leadership transition going on in MOUAU . He was of the Opinion that a university cannot be for the preservation of knowledge only, but should be able to respond to society , anticipate in the future and prepare leaders. who can shape the future with character and competence , stating that the foundation of the school was built to out live subsequent administrations and this he said is the spirit behind the establishment of the. business School.

In his lecture titled ‘Shaping The Future of Business Education ) delivered by Prof John Uzoma Ihedinihu said the event of the day is not the unveiling of a new academic unit but declaration of intent by the university to shape the future leadership , enterprise and economic transformation in Nigeria .

Prof Ihedinihu stated some of the benefits of a business school to include raising well informed and well educated businessmen who would shape the future of business activities in the country .

According to him a business school would also generate revenue both for government and corporate organisations and create employment for the youths among other benefits .

The Debt Management Officer in Abía State government Dr. Kingsley Nwaigburu said the school project was well conceived . He noted that no such school exist around the South East so as a Lecturer of over 13 years standing , he would bring his wealth of experience to bear in the school and would also make Financial input to ensure the school continues to progress , saying the school would promote and project business in the state and beyond . According to him the state governor Dr Alex Otti loves this type of project ,that borders on education and business .

A former House of Rep Member in the state Hon Sam Onuigbo who is a member of the Board , described the MOUAU business school as a good development that is worth supporting . He was full of praises for the V C Prof Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe for creating the business school stating that having such school would enhance business activities in the university environment and Abia state .

Abia State Commissioner for Transport and a Board Member of the business school , Dr Isaac Ukaegbu said having a business school in MOUAU is a good omen that would boost generation of high calibre businessmen in the state who would help the state generate revenue for the state and help create employment for these reasons ,he would support the establishment of the school by investing financially and otherwise to the growth of the school .

A one time Federal Minister for state Dr. Sampson Uche Ogah applauded Prof Iwe for the idea of creating a business school in MOUAU and pledged to support the school in any way possible.

The Deputy Speaker Abia State House of Assembly Rt . Hon Austin Okezie Meregini said he is a student of Economics in MOUAU and so is very happy for establishment of the school and would commit his resources for the growth of the school .

The 32 Board Members were inaugurated during the event , which among others include the Deputy Speaker federal House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, Engr. Dr. Emeka Udeokporo, senator Adolph Wabara among others .
