POLICE RECRUITMENT SCREENING FOR CONSTABLES BEGINS MARCH 9 IN ABIA

The Nigeria Police Force has announced that the nationwide screening exercise for applicants seeking recruitment as constables will commence on Monday, March 9, 2026, across various state commands.

In Abia State, applicants who successfully completed the online registration are required to report for physical and credential screening at the Police Officers’ Mess, opposite Royal Damgrete Hotel, Factory Road, Umuahia.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Abia State Command, DSP Maureen Chioma Chinaka, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, the screening exercise will run daily from March 9 to April 18, 2026.

The statement noted that only applicants of Abia State origin who completed the online application process are eligible to participate in the exercise. Applicants are expected to attend the screening strictly on the date and time indicated on their invitation slips.

They are advised to visit the recruitment portal at npfapplication.psc.gov.ng to confirm their eligibility and obtain details of their screening schedule.

Applicants are required to appear at the screening centre dressed in clean white T-shirts, white shorts, white canvas shoes and white stockings.

Mandatory documents to be presented during the screening include the application submission slip, physical screening form, invitation slip with assigned table number, credential screening form, National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by the National Identity Management Commission, O’ Level certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, and Local Government or State of origin certificate.

Other required documents include trade test certificates for specialist applicants and a duly completed and signed guarantors’ form accompanied by photocopies and passport photographs of referees.

Applicants are also directed to package the original and duplicate copies of their credentials in two separate white flat files with recent passport photographs attached, alongside any other documents specified during the online registration.

The command urged applicants to conduct themselves properly throughout the exercise, while advising parents and guardians not involved in the screening to stay away from the venue.

The police further emphasized that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge and warned applicants to be cautious of impostors and scammers attempting to exploit the exercise for fraudulent purposes.

Anyone found engaging in such illegal activities will be arrested and prosecuted.
