MACS Initiative Engages PCRC Members to Strengthen Police–Community Relations in Abia State

The third day of the Phase II implementation of the Mutual Accountability and Community Scorecard (MACS) initiative in Abia State featured a high-level engagement session with members of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) drawn from various Divisions, Area Commands, and the State level.

The interactive forum, held on Wednesday, provided participants with a platform to examine key challenges affecting the effective participation of the PCRC as strategic partners of the Nigeria Police Force. Discussions centered on deepening collaboration, fostering transparency, and strengthening trust between the police and the communities they serve.

Participants identified practical solutions to enhance mutual accountability and promote safer, more cohesive communities across the state.

The MACS initiative, currently in its second phase, continues to drive inclusive dialogue and partnership among stakeholders to improve governance, service delivery, and security outcomes in Abia State.
