Classic Mother Award: St Paul’s Methodist Church Honours Ezinne Chief Mrs Elizabeth Ogbu Ogele
Ezinne Chief Mrs Elizabeth Ogbu Ogele has been honoured with the “Classic Mother” award by the Women’s Fellowship of Methodist Church Nigeria, St Paul’s Methodist Church, Emede Ibeku, in Umuahia, Abia State, in recognition of her outstanding service to the church and humanity.

The honour was conferred during this year’s Mother’s Day celebration held at the church auditorium in Emede Ibeku, Umuahia North Local Government Area

Presenting the award, the Women’s Fellowship department of the church,Mrs Okike described Ezinne Ogele as a dedicated Christian mother whose contributions to the growth of the church and support for humanitarian causes have remained remarkable over the years.

In her response, Ezinne Ogele expressed gratitude to the church for finding her worthy of the prestigious recognition.

She noted that the award would further encourage her to continue serving God and humanity with greater commitment.
She also commended the minister in charge of St Paul’s Methodist Church, Rev. Obineche Okike, and his wife for their dedication to the work of God. According to her, the cleric is “a worthy son,” while his wife remains “a worthy daughter,” whom she appreciates for their steadfastness in preaching the Gospel.
Ezinne Ogele further urged members of the church to continue supporting the leadership of the church and to remain committed to the advancement of the Gospel.
The Mother’s Day celebration featured special prayers, thanksgiving, and recognition of women who have distinguished themselves in service to the church and society.
