Emetu Visits Emeka Charles Kalu in Bende, Describes Gathering as “Assembly of Eagles”

The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Ikechukwu Emetu, has described Emeka Charles Kalu as a brother and political associate during a courtesy visit to his country home in Bende Town, Bende Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking during the visit, Engr. Emetu said he was delighted to be in Bende to interact and hold discussions with Dr. Kalu, who is aspiring to represent Abia North Senatorial District under the Labour Party.

The Deputy Governor expressed happiness over the warm reception accorded him and commended the calibre of personalities present at the gathering, describing it as an “assembly of eagles.”

“I’m very happy to be here. The reason for my visit is to see my brother and dear friend, Dr. Emeka Charles Kalu, who is also an aspirant for the Abia North Senatorial Zone position under the Labour Party. I’m also elated to witness this gathering of eagles,” Emetu stated.

In his remarks, the Director General of Dr. Emeka Charles Kalu Campaign Organization, Ukwu Rocks, described Dr. Kalu as “a man after the hearts of the people” and a leader widely accepted across Abia North.

According to him, the large turnout of supporters and stakeholders from different local government areas was a clear demonstration of the love and support Dr. Kalu enjoys across the zone.

“We have seen a man after our hearts, our own dear Emeka Charles Kalu. He is a man of the people and has won the hearts of the entire Abia North electorate. Do not be embarrassed that you came to see one man and ended up seeing all of us here.
We came from different local government areas to identify with this man,” he said.

Hon. Rocks noted that Abia North had suffered poor representation at the Senate over the years and stressed the determination of the people to support Dr. Kalu’s aspiration in order to secure quality representation for the zone.

In their separate goodwill messages, Hon.Obinna Ekekwe, Mr.Elekwa Idika, Hon .Mike Eze and Mr.Chuzzy Igboko commended the Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, for what they described as transformational leadership, particularly in the areas of road infrastructure and restoration of peace across the state.

They noted that the positive changes being witnessed in Abia deserved the support of all well-meaning citizens and appealed to the Labour Party to grant Dr. Kalu the party’s ticket for the Abia North Senatorial Zone.

Also speaking, the Founder of ECK Foundation and aspirant for the Abia North Senatorial Zone, Dr. Emeka Charles Kalu, said the Labour Party remained a moving train because of the remarkable achievements of Governor Alex Otti.

According to him, Governor Otti has changed the narrative of governance in Abia State through impactful leadership and developmental strides.

“We all know that the Labour Party is a moving train because our amiable governor has changed the narrative in Abia State. We shall all come out en masse to vote for Alex Otti again because he has done enormously well,” Kalu stated.

The visit attracted of Mayor Bende LGA, Deacon Bassey Uwabunkonye, party faithful, supporters and political stakeholders from across Bende and neighbouring communities, as discussions centred on unity, political collaboration and the future of the Labour Party in Abia North.
