Anosike Declares PDP Ready for 2027, Vows to Reclaim Abia Government House

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State for the 2027 election, Dr. Kelechi Anosike, has declared that the party has regained its footing in the state and is fully prepared to reclaim power in the next general election.

Anosike made the declaration while addressing journalists shortly after receiving a warm reception from party supporters and stakeholders on arrival at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri, Imo State.

The PDP governorship flag bearer said the large turnout of party faithful at the airport was a clear indication of renewed confidence in the party and a reflection of the growing support for its political agenda across Abia State.

According to him, the PDP has emerged stronger, more united and better positioned to provide leadership in the state, adding that the enthusiasm displayed by supporters signalled the beginning of a new phase for the party.

“The crowd you are seeing here is a loud testimony to our collective determination to take over the government of Abia State. It is the same PDP, but with renewed energy, higher standards and a fresh direction,” Anosike said.

He expressed gratitude to God for what he described as a successful political journey so far and commended the national leadership of the party for efforts aimed at repositioning the PDP ahead of future elections.

Anosike specifically acknowledged the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, the PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad, and the party’s National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, for their roles in strengthening the party’s structures in Abia State.

He maintained that the PDP remains united and focused on securing victory in the 2027 governorship election, expressing confidence that the people of Abia would once again identify with the party.

Describing his arrival as a symbolic homecoming following his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate, Anosike thanked party leaders, delegates, members of the State Working Committee and supporters across the state for their continued support and confidence in his candidature.

He assured party members that he would work closely with all stakeholders to build a formidable platform capable of delivering electoral success for the PDP in Abia State.
