ABIA COUNCIL MAYOR RECEIVES SENIOR COURSE 47 DELEGATION FROM ARMED FORCES COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE, JAJI
The Executive Chairman of Ohafia Local Government Area, Abia State, Chief Eleanya Ujuu, yesterday, received a delegation from Senior Course 47 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji.
The delegation, which visited the council headquarters as part of a course module titled “Harnessing Grassroots Intelligence for National Security,” aimed to strengthen collaboration between the military and civil society.
Brigadier General Nnaemeka Okili, who led the delegation from Jaji, was accompanied by the Commander of the 14 Brigade Garrison, Lt. Col. Ango. He reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to partnering with local communities to ensure lasting peace and security. Brigadier Okili also lauded the Council Chairman for fostering cordial relations between the military and host communities.
Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Mayor, the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Eme Iro Eme, highlighted the importance of such engagements in deepening military-civilian synergy and building the trust required to effectively address the nation’s security challenges.
He expressed appreciation to the Armed Forces for selecting Ohafia as a focal point for the exercise, emphasizing that such interactions would further strengthen the existing relationship between military personnel stationed in Ohafia and surrounding communities.
