CP Abia Decorates 244 Newly Promoted Assistant Superintendents of Police, Charges Them on Higher Responsibility
The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, decorated 244 newly promoted Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) at a ceremony held at the Officers’ Mess, Umuahia.

Addressing the officers, CP Isa congratulated them on their well-deserved promotion and reminded them that elevation in rank comes with greater responsibility and accountability. He noted that their new status places them on probation, during which their conduct and performance would be closely monitored and assessed without prior notice.

The Commissioner cautioned the newly promoted officers against engaging in any form of corrupt practices capable of tarnishing the image of the Nigeria Police Force. He urged them to remain civil in their interactions with members of the public, to be good listeners, approachable, and to uphold professionalism at all times in the discharge of their duties.
CP Isa further emphasized the importance of respecting human rights and maintaining zero tolerance for corruption, stressing that much is expected of them in their new capacity.
He expressed appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police for finding the officers worthy of promotion and charged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through dedication, integrity, and exemplary service.
The event was attended by senior officers of the Command, family members, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the milestone.
The statement was signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Abia State Command, DSP Maureen Chioma Chinaka, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police.
