CP Abia Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthened Security Collaboration with Nigeria Immigration Service

In a renewed effort to enhance inter-agency cooperation and bolster security across Abia State, the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, has reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to closer collaboration with the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).

This assurance came yesterday during a courtesy visit by the Comptroller of Immigration Service, Abia State Command, CIS J.N. Owe, and his delegation to the State Police Headquarters in Umuahia at about 11:40 a.m.

The visit was aimed at strengthening ties between the two security agencies and exploring avenues for improved coordination in tackling crime and maintaining public safety in the state.

CP Isa, flanked by members of his management team, warmly welcomed the immigration delegates. In his remarks, the Police Commissioner appreciated the visit and emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration, in line with the directives of the Inspector General of Police.

He noted that no single agency can effectively combat crime in isolation, highlighting the value of shared intelligence, joint operations, and mutual support in achieving a more secure society.

“The Abia State Police Command places a high premium on synergy with sister agencies. We are committed to sustaining the peace and security in our state through continuous cooperation and coordination with all security stakeholders,” CP Isa stated.

CIS J.N. Owe, in his address, acknowledged the existing cordial relationship between the Police and the Immigration Service, expressing optimism that the collaboration will continue to grow stronger in the face of evolving security challenges.

The visit concluded with a renewed pledge by both agencies to work hand-in-hand in safeguarding lives and property across Abia State.
