Anyaso Backs Otti for Second Term, Mobilizes Support Through Culture and Voter Registration

The Founder of Caades Group and the Chima Anyaso Foundation, Dr. Chima Anyaso, has pledged full support for the re-election of Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, if he declares interest in a second term.

Speaking at a press briefing in his Igbere country home in Bende Local Government Area, Dr. Anyaso hailed Governor Otti’s leadership style and performance, describing them as “outstanding” and transformative.

He noted that the Governor’s administration has brought credibility and direction to governance in the state and that such visible progress deserves continuity.

“Governor Otti has distinguished himself with a leadership style that resonates with the people. As someone who believes in progressive governance, I and many others will throw our full weight behind him once he formally declares for a second term,” Dr. Anyaso stated.

He emphasized that the cultural celebration of Iriji Ofuji (New Yam Festival), which he plans to host across the three senatorial districts of Abia, is not political but can serve as a platform to rally support for the Governor. The festival, he said, aims to unite communities, promote peace, and reinforce shared values that strengthen the social and political fabric of the state.

“Culture is a rallying point for us in Abia. It’s not just about celebration, it’s about building unity and fostering development. We can use this to sustain the momentum of good governance,” he added.

Dr. Anyaso also reaffirmed his readiness to collaborate with like-minded leaders and groups to ensure that the progress achieved under the current administration is not lost. He stressed that continuity is essential to consolidating gains and advancing Abia State.

In a related development, he called on citizens particularly those in Bende and across Abia to actively participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise. He described voter registration as a foundational step in securing fair political representation and sustaining good governance.

“We must not wait until election season to get involved. The power lies in our hands, and it starts with getting registered and obtaining our PVCs,” he said.

Dr. Anyaso revealed that he has personally mobilized his community for voter registration, aiming to boost turnout and strengthen Abia’s political voice ahead of the 2027 general elections. He described voter participation as “a strategic tool” for shaping leadership and securing development.

“Credible leaders can only emerge when the people participate. Let’s build our future now,” he urged.
