ABIA STATE UNIVERSITY UTURU HOSTEL A TAKES A NEW LOOK

In line with his promises to give Abia state University hostels a new look , the Abia state governor Dr Alex Otti have completed the renovation of hostel A in Abia state University Uturu .

An Information officer in government house Chinonyerem Nwahiwe revealed this recently . According to her
‎the newly renovated Hostel A in ABSU by the Governor is a practical demonstration of Governor Otti’s believe that every Abia student deserves the best environment to live and study.
‎

‎It is also a testament of the governor’s believe that public funds must serve the best interest of the public.
‎

‎Before the renovation of the hostel there was no Common Room and Waiting Room or Reception room , but after the renovation there exists a brand new Common Room and Reception.
‎

‎Each floor of the hostel has 14 showers for bathing, 8 toilets and 6 wash hand basins.
‎Also, ‎each floor has a laundry room.
‎
‎Each room has 4 reading tables and lights, 4 wardrobes, etc, for the 4 students that are expected to occupying a room .
‎

‎There is a newly drilled 32000 litre borehole to ensure constant supply of potable water for the students.
‎‎Everything inside the Hostel are brand new.
‎

A 10,000 capacity male and female hostel is equally under construction , also a new Faculty of Law and Faculty of Agriculture Buildings, including a new staff school, are as well under construction.

The information Officer said with the governor’s believe in the ability of education to transform people, the education sector is in for a better time for the building of an informed society in the state .
