According to a press release signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Philemon Asonye Ogbonna, movement of people and vehicles will be restricted during the exercise, except for individuals on essential duties.
Such persons are required to present valid identification or authentic authorization upon demand.
The release directed Executive Chairmen of Local Government Councils, traditional rulers, town union leaders, religious leaders, as well as youth and women organizations to sensitize residents on the importance of the exercise and ensure full participation within their respective communities.
It further stated that markets, motor parks, public and private transport companies, and business premises are to remain closed on Friday, January 30, 2026, between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. to enable them conduct their internal clean-up activities.

Residents have also been advised to remain at home, clean their surroundings, and ensure the use of nose masks while participating.
