OFUJI Launches Cash Support Initiative for Women Petty Traders in Bende
In furtherance of its commitment to grassroots empowerment and inclusive economic development, OFUJI has announced the commencement of the Bende Women Cash Support for Petty Traders initiative, a program aimed at supporting women engaged in small-scale trading across the Bende Federal Constituency.
The initiative is designed to provide direct financial assistance to hardworking women who play a critical role in sustaining local economies and supporting household livelihoods.
Beneficiaries of the program are expected to utilize the support to strengthen their businesses, improve income stability, and enhance their overall standard of living.
According to the organizers, the program underscores the belief that empowering women is central to community growth and sustainable development. By investing in women at the grassroots, the initiative seeks to promote economic inclusion, dignity of labor, and shared prosperity within the constituency.
The official disbursement and engagement ceremony is scheduled to hold on Friday, 6th February 2026, at OFUJI Resort, Onu Ibina, Igbere, Abia State, by 2:00 p.m.
All selected beneficiaries and relevant stakeholders have been encouraged to attend the event, which marks another significant step toward strengthening community development efforts in Bende.
The program is being coordinated under the auspices of the Chima Anyaso Foundation (CAF), with the Director-General reaffirming the organization’s dedication to initiatives that uplift women and promote sustainable economic growth.
