Anyone Planning to Oppose Gov. Otti Needs Urgent Psychiatric Evaluation Before It Gets to Full-Blown Madness — Ukpabi Blows Hot

The National Publicity Secretary of the Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), Hon. Ukpabi Micheal Authority, who also serves as the Abia State representative of the apex Igbo socio-political body, has issued a statement commending the transformative leadership of Governor Alex Otti while condemning emerging opposition voices.

In the statement made available to the press, Ukpabi described Governor Otti’s administration as a shining example of rare political courage, fiscal responsibility, and people-centered governance. He noted that the administration has not only restored public confidence but has also redefined governance through aggressive infrastructural revitalization, bold institutional reforms, and a culture of transparency and accountability long absent in the system.

According to him, “What Abians are witnessing today is not routine governance but deliberate, results-driven leadership that has set an entirely new standard for development and public service.”

He expressed deep concern over what he termed the “audacity of detractors” who, despite clear and measurable progress, are allegedly mobilizing to oppose the governor.

“It is both baffling and alarming that any individual or group, in the face of undeniable progress, would contemplate opposing a leader who has demonstrated competence, integrity, and an unflinching commitment to the welfare of the people. Such actions are not only suspicious but raise serious concerns about the motives and mental disposition of those involved,” he stated.

“We state unequivocally that anyone plotting to oppose Governor Otti at this defining moment in Abia’s developmental journey must urgently subject themselves to psychiatric evaluation before such dangerous inclinations spiral into full-blown irrationality.”

While acknowledging that constructive criticism remains the lifeblood of democracy, he drew a clear line against what he described as “desperate, baseless opposition fueled by selfish ambition, political bitterness, and a refusal to accept a new order of accountability.”

He warned that such conduct is not only counterproductive but poses a direct threat to the collective progress of the state.

The OYC spokesman further emphasized that the youth, particularly under the banner of the Ohanaeze Youth Council, will not fold their arms while “agents of retrogression” attempt to undermine a government that is delivering tangible results.

“We will resist, with every legitimate means, any attempt to drag Abia back into the dark era of mismanagement, decay, and stagnation. The people have seen the difference, and they will not be deceived.”

He concluded by declaring Governor Otti as the symbol of a new beginning for Abia State:
“Governor Alex Otti represents a new dawn one forged on accountability, vision, and performance. That dawn must not, and will not, be eclipsed by forces of regression.”
