PRESIDENTIAL MEDIA TOUR TEAM EXPRESS SATISFACTION OVER PROJECTS VISITED IN ABIA STATE

The Renewed Hope Agenda Presidential Tour Team , that visited Abia state on Tuesday 16th of June 2026 for a two day media tour inspection of collaborative projects executed by the federal and Abia State government’ , have expressed satisfaction at the various projects visited .

Speaking at one of the projects sites the Onuimo Abia Tower road ,the presidential team spokes person and Senior Special Adviser to Mr . President on Media and Publication Hon. Sunday Dare said the projects they visited were quite impressive .

According to him , the projects are people oriented meant for the Welfare of the people, and this are the expectations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Presidential Team inconjuction with Abia State Media Managers , Commissioners and other top government’ Officials started the tour with a visit to Renewed Hope Agenda Housing Estate at along Umuahia Uzuakoli road Umuahia. Here , the Commissioner for Works Hon. Otumchere Otti said the ground breaking of the Estate have been performed by officials of both the federal and state government few months ago . He said the state government provided the land for the project and have paid compensation to land owners . He said the state is awaiting the federal government for effective takeoff of the 200 housing units for low and middle income earners .

The team inspected the Umuahia Uzuakoli Akara Alayi Abiriba Ohafia road . The team díd a brief stop at Ebem Ohafia to inspect the Ohafia power station where the Commissioner for Power and Public Utilities Hon .Ikechukwu Monday explained that Ohafia Community have been in darkness for some years but with the intervention of the state government , power is being restored in Ohafia and its environs .

The team inspected the historical Omenuko bridge where several lives have been lost due to the terrible condition of the bridge. The Commissioner for works explained that the ancient bridge is situated along Ozuabam. Arochukwu federal road. The state governor Dr Alex Óttï he said do not discriminate between Federal or state road owned roads , the governor he said did the road to stop further canage and loss of lives on that bridge . The Team also inspected the Ozuabam, Ndi okereke , Amuvi road which is along that axis .

The team arrived another Housing Estate the Renewed Hope Agenda Housing Estate at Onuinya Bende being championed by the Deputy Speaker Federal House of Representatives Rt Hon. Benjamin Kalu .
Hon Sunday Dare described the Estate as progressing well .

from here the team arrived the altra modern Nnenna Óttï Bus Terminal in Umuahia. Here the Commissioner for transport Dr, Isaac Chimezie Ukaegbu explained the modus operandi of the park stating that the park is well equipped and well organized with modern facilities including a control room from where all activities in the bus terminal are monitored . A member of the presidential team described the terminal as first of it’s kind in Nigeria.

from here the team moved to Onuimo, Umuahia Tower road , where the inspection ended with Hon. Sunday Dare made remarks of satisfaction with the projects they inspected .
