Anyaso Honoured for Commitment to God’s Work, Community Development.
The Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Uzuakoli, Alayi Circuit, has honoured Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso (Ofuji) with a Meritorious Award for his selfless service, commitment and contributions to the advancement of the Gospel of Christ and the Methodist Church.
The award was presented to Anyaso during a special church service where he served as Guest of Honour. Church leaders and members commended him for his continued support for the work of God and his contributions to community development.
Receiving the award, Anyaso expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the Methodist Church for recognising his service. He described the honour as both a privilege and a responsibility, pledging to remain committed to supporting the work of God.
The businessman and political aspirant also reiterated his ambition to represent Bende Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections, promising to serve the Church and the people of Bende diligently if elected.
“I sincerely appreciate the Methodist Church for this honour. It is a recognition that I do not take for granted. By God’s grace, when I represent Bende Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, I will not fail the Church, and I will not disappoint Ndi Bende,” he said.
A major highlight of the event was a special prayer session for Anyaso, during which members of the Church prayed for divine guidance, protection, wisdom and success in his political aspiration ahead of the 2027 elections.
The occasion also highlighted Anyaso’s stated commitment to faith, public service and community development, anchored on his vision of “Service, Capacity and Results” for Bende Federal Constituency.
Among the dignitaries who accompanied him to the service were the Director-General of the Dr. Chima Anyaso Campaign Organisation, Pastor Okechukwu Dike; Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Chima Anyaso Foundation, Ezeogo Emeka Onuoha; Dr. N. C. Eke; Mrs. Arisa Okparigbo; and other leaders and political stakeholders.
