ABIA POLICE ASSURE ADEQUATE SECURITY AS MUSLIMS CELEBRATE EID AL-FITR
The Abia State Police Command has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful across the state on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, while reaffirming its commitment to ensuring peace, safety, and security for all residents.
In a statement issued by DSP Maureen Chioma Chinaka, Police Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, the Command congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and assured the public that comprehensive security measures have been put in place to guarantee a peaceful celebration.
According to the statement, police officers have been strategically deployed across the state, with heightened security presence in key locations.
The Command disclosed that personnel will monitor prayer grounds, public gatherings, and other festive activities to maintain law and order before, during, and after the celebrations.
The Police further urged Muslim faithful and members of the public to remain vigilant and security-conscious at all times. The Command reiterated its dedication to protecting lives and property and ensuring that the festive period is celebrated in a safe and peaceful atmosphere.
