Labour Party Celebrates Otti at Three, Reaffirms Support for Administration

The Abia State chapter of the Labour Party has congratulated Governor Alex Chioma Otti, on the occasion of his third anniversary in office, commending what it described as his transformative leadership and remarkable achievements since assuming office in 2023.

In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the State Working Committee, leaders, stakeholders and members of the party, the State Chairman of Labour Party, Hon. Peter Azubuike, praised Governor Otti for what he called a purposeful and impactful administration that has changed the face of governance in Abia State.

Azubuike noted that the decision by Abians three years ago to entrust Otti with leadership was driven by hope, competence and the desire for a better future, adding that the governor has since justified that confidence through visible development and practical reforms across the state.

He stated that under Otti’s administration, Abia has witnessed massive infrastructural renewal, road reconstruction, urban transformation, improved security, reforms in the education and healthcare sectors, stronger environmental sanitation, prompt payment of workers and pensioners, as well as economic policies aimed at repositioning the state for growth.

According to him, residents in Aba, Umuahia and communities across the 17 local government areas have continued to experience the impact of governance, with abandoned roads reconstructed, public confidence restored and renewed investor interest in the state.

The party further praised the governor’s transparent leadership style, fiscal discipline and commitment to accountability, noting that his administration has restored confidence in governance and strengthened the pride of Abians in their state.

“Today, Abians proudly identify with their state because campaign promises are no longer political slogans but practical realities being delivered across sectors,” the statement said.

The Labour Party described Governor Otti’s performance as a reference point in governance and transformational leadership, adding that his administration has demonstrated that sincere and people-focused leadership can bring meaningful change.

Reaffirming its support, the party pledged to continue mobilising its structures across the 17 local government areas and 184 wards to support the governor’s vision and sustain the development agenda of his administration.

The party also expressed confidence in the governor’s continued popularity among residents, insisting that many Abians remain committed to preserving what it described as the “new Abia” built under his leadership.

It prayed for God’s continued wisdom, strength and good health for Governor Otti as he continues to steer the affairs of the state.

Governor Otti marks his third year in office this week amid widespread commendations from supporters and stakeholders across the state.
