PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF NIGERIA CONDEMN BENUE KILLING

The Presbyterian church of Nigeria World Bank Parish have condemned in strong terms the recent killing of over 200 persons in Venue state by suspected Fulani Herdsmen.
Speaking at the end of the 2nd Synod of the church, the Umuahia synod Moderator Reverend Chinedu Okoroafor said at the end of their 2nd synod which took place recently at the Church auditorium off Upstair Line world bank housing estate Umuahia , the Church lamented the insecurity situation in the country which is getting out of hands Herdsmen, kidnapping , banditry name it .
So we have resolved that we are going to pray for this country and we condemn in strong term the killing in Benue state . Speaking further , Rev. Okoroafor said no body have the right to take the life of another man, he prayed God to console the families affected in massacre while urging Mr president to vote more funds for security. The Synod Moderator also noted that the Parish have unanimously agreed that the state governor Dr Alex Otti have done well in two years in office and they are praying for him .
Contributing on the essence of the theme of the Synod , Vessel For Honour , the Clark of Umuahia Synod RT. Rev . Anthony Okoro Ufere said Christians should be practical in their approach to the gospel where ever they are . You should make impact , where ever you find yourself as a Christian , the name of the lord must be glorified , he stated.
In his message the convener and Chairman Planning Committee of the Synod Very Reverend Alozie Paul Amadike appreciated God for a successful 2025 Synod . He thanked all the members for their cooperation urging them to remember they are all vessels of honour as such they should represent well the one who sent them here on earth. He urged all presbyterians to remember they as Christians should not be involved in those worldly attributes. that do not honour or glorify God .
Earlier , in his key Note Address , the Speaker at the Synod and Rector of Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic Aba , Engr Christopher Okoro speaking on the theme of the Synod A Vessel For Honour said one outstanding quality of a vessel of honour is humility , as Christians we are the vessel of honour for Christ so we should be humble and conduct ourselves in ways that are Honourable and not dishonourable.
He stated that benefits such as devine approval and divine promotion including eternal rewards are benefits attached to servicing God faithfully as vessels of honour.
