Abia Police boss meets with senior officers,
……emphasizes on professionalism, discipline

Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, Danladi Isa, has met with Police officers in the command and emphasised the need for discipline and professionalism.

The meeting has become a monthly conference with senior officers, including Area Commanders, DPOs, Tactical Commanders, and Heads of Departments in attendance featured talks on medical and safety tips by ACP Emenike Chinenye, Rules of Engagement by ACP Alabi Adebowale, and Best PR practices and capacity building by the PPRO of the command, DSP Maureen Chioma Chinaka.

CP Isa, in his speech, commended the officers for their dedication but stressed that greater responsibilities are required, as much are expected from them.

He charged officers to maintain professionalism, avoid corruption, and adhere strictly to the NPF Social Media Policy and emphasized that suspects must not be detained beyond 24 hours for bailable offences, and sick suspects must receive prompt medical attention.

The Police boss, CP Danladi, warned that senior officers would be held vicariously liable for misconduct by their subordinates, hence ensuring proper supervision of officers under them.

He further retriated the prohibition of POS operations within police premises and urged officers to secure their bases, protect government infrastructure, and work in synergy with Mayors of Local Governments and the public for effective crime-fighting and prevention.

The conference ended with the official recognition and commendation of command PPRO, DSP Maureen Chioma Chinaka for being an Awardee of the IGP and for her successful completion of a short course on New Media Capacity Building in China.
