Anyaso at 46: 46 Garlands, A Journey of Service and Vision

Dr. Chima Anyaso (OFUJI) marks his 46th birthday today, September 16, 2026, with reflections on his record of humanitarian interventions in education, healthcare, youth empowerment and community development.

In a birthday message titled “46 Garlands to Dr. Chima Anyaso: A Reflection on Service, Record and Vision,” the Director of Media and Publicity of the Chima Anyaso Campaign Council, Promise Uzoma Okoro, said Anyaso’s journey of service predated his aspiration to represent Bende Federal Constituency in the 2027 election.

Okoro highlighted the activities of the Ahuoma Anyaso Educational Foundation, particularly its tuition-free educational initiative in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area, describing education as an investment in the future of disadvantaged children.

According to him, the foundation’s interventions also include teacher support, noting that teachers at the school have been paid their salaries as and when due for the past 19 years.

He also cited healthcare interventions carried out in communities across Bende, including Alayi, Bende, Umuimenyi/Nkpa, Uzuakoli, Item, Igbere, Ugwueke/Ezeukwu, Itumbuzor, Umuhu and Ozuitem.

The statement further referenced a recent five-day free medical outreach organised by the Chima Anyaso Foundation in partnership with REBIRTH Ministries, as well as eye-care services and distribution of medicated eyeglasses to beneficiaries.

Okoro said youth and women empowerment, agriculture and support for small businesses were also important aspects of Anyaso’s humanitarian activities, stressing the need for development initiatives that create sustainable economic opportunities within Bende.

He said Anyaso’s 2027 aspiration should be viewed in the context of his previous interventions, while acknowledging that humanitarian experience alone does not guarantee legislative success.

According to him, representation in the House of Representatives would involve advocating for federal projects, scholarships, skills acquisition, healthcare infrastructure, agricultural development, youth opportunities and improved infrastructure across Bende Federal Constituency.

He further called for representation that would accommodate all communities and interests in Bende, regardless of political affiliation, ward, village, gender, age or economic status.

The statement said sustainable development should move beyond individual philanthropy towards institutions capable of addressing challenges over the long term.

“At 46, Dr. Chima Anyaso’s story is not ending. It is entering another chapter,” Okoro said, adding that the humanitarian interventions associated with Anyaso provide a record, while his political aspiration represents a vision for the future.

He said the 2027 election would ultimately give the people of Bende the opportunity to decide who they want to represent them at the National Assembly.

Okoro described Anyaso’s 46 years as a period of service, record and vision, wishing him greater strength, wisdom and opportunities to serve humanity and the people of Bende.
