A prominent stakeholder in Bende politics, Dr. Chimaobi D. Anyaso (CDA), has lauded a community-driven development effort led by Iheanyi Frank Chinasa under the DOGO Foundation, describing it as a timely intervention aimed at improving the living conditions of the people.
In a statement made available to the press today, Dr. Anyaso praised the “Project Switch On Bende” initiative, which focuses on providing lighting across communities in the constituency. He noted that the project goes beyond mere infrastructure, representing hope, safety, and socio-economic progress for residents.
“At a time when our people yearn for visible impact and practical solutions, this effort to illuminate communities across Bende speaks volumes,” he said. “It is not just about light, but about restoring confidence, enhancing security, and fostering a renewed sense of belonging.”
Dr. Anyaso commended Chinasa for what he described as a selfless commitment to community development, emphasizing that investing personal resources into public good reflects true leadership and sacrifice.
“I must sincerely commend this noble initiative. This is what it means to serve the people genuinely,” he added.
The political leader also used the opportunity to rally members of the Chima Anyaso Foundation and the OFUJI Movement across Bende to support the project. He urged stakeholders and residents to stand in solidarity with the DOGO Foundation, stressing that collective encouragement of impactful initiatives is key to sustainable development.
“Let us support good works wherever we see them, because the true victory lies in the progress of our people,” he stated.
Dr. Anyaso further expressed optimism about the future of Bende, calling for unity and sustained commitment to grassroots development. He also extended goodwill to the Governor of Abia State, Alex Chioma Otti, praying for continued success in his administration.
The “Project Switch On Bende” initiative has begun to draw attention as a model for community-based development, with many observers describing it as a step in the right direction toward improving rural infrastructure and quality of life.
