Otti Celebrates Miracle Ajah’s Outstanding Service as Presbyterian Church Honours Outgoing Principal Clerk.

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has paid glowing tribute to the outgoing Principal Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria (PCN), Most Rev. Prof. Miracle Ajah, describing his six-year tenure as a remarkable period of integrity, visionary leadership and selfless service to God and humanity.

Represented by the Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, at the thanksgiving and send-off service held at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Ehere Model Parish, Aba, Governor Otti congratulated Most Rev. Ajah on the successful completion of his tenure from 2020 to 2026.

He said the outgoing Principal Clerk strengthened the administrative structures of the Church, promoted unity among members and advanced the Church’s evangelism mandate through wisdom, humility, discipline and exemplary leadership.

According to the Governor, the true test of leadership lies not in the number of years spent in office but in the lasting impact made on people and institutions, noting that Most Rev. Ajah’s achievements would remain a reference point in the history of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria.

Governor Otti reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining cordial relations with faith-based organisations, describing the Church as a critical partner in promoting moral values, education, healthcare, peace and social development across the state.

He also commended the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria for its immense contributions to nation-building and human capital development, assuring the Church of the continued support and goodwill of the state government.

The Governor prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health, renewed strength and greater opportunities for service for the outgoing Principal Clerk.

Delivering the sermon, the Prelate and Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, His Eminence Ekpenyong Akpanika, reminded Christians and leaders that every position of authority is temporary and that enduring legacies are built through faithful service.

Drawing inspiration from the biblical account of Nehemiah, Akpanika urged leaders to remain committed to God, uphold integrity and place service above personal ambition, stressing that greatness is measured by sacrifice and positive impact on society.

He praised Most Rev. Ajah for his steadfast commitment to the Church, effective administration, promotion of peace and unity, and significant contributions to strengthening the operations of the General Assembly throughout his tenure.

In his response, Most Rev. Prof. Miracle Ajah thanked God for His grace and faithfulness throughout his years of ministry.

He also expressed appreciation to Governor Alex Otti, represented by Deputy Governor Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, the leadership of the Presbyterian Church, members of the General Assembly Executive Committee, ministers, elders, family members, friends, donors and all who contributed to the success of the thanksgiving and send-off ceremony.

The event featured the presentation of a 2019/2020 model Toyota Highlander to Most Rev. Ajah in recognition of his meritorious service to the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria.

Among dignitaries present were the President of the Abia State Leadership Academy and immediate past Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Kenneth Kalu, government officials, senior clergymen, traditional rulers, captains of industry and members of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria.
