PCRC National Leadership Visits Abia Police Commissioner, Reaffirms Commitment to Capacity Building

In a move aimed at strengthening police-community collaboration and enhancing capacity-building efforts, the national leadership of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa.

The high-powered delegation, led by the National Chairman of PCRC, Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyi, included national executive members, zonal coordinators, and the Abia State PCRC Chairman. Their visit coincided with a capacity-building workshop currently holding in the state.

Speaking during the visit, Alhaji Olaniyi commended CP Isa for his laudable achievements in combating crime and maintaining professional standards across the Command.

He praised the Commissioner’s dedication to duty and the strides made under his leadership in securing communities across Abia State.

In his response, CP Danladi Isa welcomed the PCRC team and expressed appreciation for the Committee’s unwavering support and cooperation with the Nigeria Police Force at all levels. He acknowledged the critical role the PCRC plays in bridging the gap between the police and the public, and lauded their continued partnership in promoting peace and security.

The Commissioner also praised the Inspector-General of Police for his visionary leadership, which he said has significantly enhanced operational successes and professionalism within the Force.

CP Isa further extended gratitude to the Governor of Abia State for his consistent support, noting that the synergy between the Command, state government, security agencies, and stakeholders, including the PCRC, has been pivotal to the Command’s effectiveness.

Reaffirming the Command’s commitment to the ideals of the Nigeria Police Force, the Commissioner emphasized the importance of professionalism, rule of law, and community engagement. He urged officers to act as Public Relations ambassadors in their daily interactions, thereby fostering a positive image for the Force.

He assured the PCRC of the Command’s continued support in promoting effective policing and enhancing the safety and security of all residents of Abia State.
