Governor Alex Otti Approves Key Appointments Across Abia State

The Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has approved the appointment of several individuals to strategic positions across key sectors of the state’s administration.

In a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Kenneth Kalu, the appointments take immediate effect and span various departments including protocol services, education, liaison offices, transportation, and other advisory roles.

Protocol Department Appointments

The newly appointed officers in the state’s Protocol Department include:

Uche Mark Nwosu – Chief Protocol Officer

Ikechukwu Nwankwo – Deputy Chief Protocol Officer

Adaeze Ivy Iroegbu – Chief Moderator

Emmanuel Paul Irechi – Protocol Officer

Amarachi Inyama – Protocol Officer

Augustine Chukwuebuka – Protocol Officer

Abia State College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu

Leadership at the College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu, has also been restructured with the following appointments:

Dr. Joe Emeson – Chairman, Governing Council

Dr. Mrs. Idowu O. Eluwa – Provost

Abia State Liaison Office, Abuja

Iheanyi Frank Chinasa has been named Chief Liaison Officer and National Assembly Liaison Officer.

Abia State Transport Corporation

The governor also reconstituted the board of the Abia State Transport Corporation. The new members are:

Emmanuel M. Ufomba – Chairman

Godanswer P. Kalu – Member

Mrs. Salomey Onwu – Member

Kingsley Oriaku – Member

Onyebuchi Nna – Member

Other Appointments

Chima Raymond Ukwa – Special Assistant on Sports

Prince Christian Enwerenmadu – Special Adviser on Agriculture

Mrs. Chinenye Nwaka – Senior Special Assistant on Women Affairs

These appointments, according to the SSG, are part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to reposition key institutions and enhance service delivery across the state.
