Anyaso Receives Royal Blessing, Reaffirms Commitment to Unity Ahead of 2027 Poll.

The Labour Party candidate for the Bende Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 House of Representatives election, Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso, has received the blessings and counsel of traditional rulers of Bende South, popularly known as Ikwuisii, during a consultative meeting aimed at promoting peace, unity and responsible leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting, held in Bende, brought together the traditional rulers and their Ugoezes, who urged political leaders, stakeholders and residents to place the collective interest of the constituency above personal ambition and partisan considerations.

Dr.Anyaso described the audience with the royal fathers as both humbling and inspiring, saying their fatherly advice reinforced the need for selfless leadership founded on integrity, service and accountability.

According to him, the monarchs stressed the importance of preserving peace and strengthening unity across Bende, noting that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of harmony.

“Their message was simple but profound. They reminded us that the unity of Bende must remain our highest priority and that every son and daughter of our land should always pursue the common good above individual interests. That is a principle I fully embrace,” Anyaso said.

The Labour Party standard bearer described the prayers and blessings offered by the traditional rulers and the Ugoezes as a priceless honour, adding that they placed on him a moral and spiritual responsibility to uphold the values of the Bende people.

He pledged to continue to conduct himself with humility, integrity and respect while remaining committed to accountable leadership if elected to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives.

Anyaso also expressed gratitude to the traditional institution for its hospitality, prayers and encouragement, praying for God’s continued wisdom, protection and good health for the monarchs as they continue to provide leadership in their communities.

The meeting comes amid growing recognition of the role of traditional institutions in promoting peace, social cohesion and community development, particularly as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections gradually gather momentum.
