Abia Police, Correctional Service Strengthen Security Collaboration

In a move to reinforce inter-agency cooperation, the Abia State Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, on Wednesday received the Controller of Corrections, Abia State Command, CC Nwanyanwu B. I., and her delegation at the State Police Headquarters in Umuahia.

The courtesy visit focused on enhancing collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Correctional Service, particularly in areas of security, operational partnership, and institutional support.

CC Nwanyanwu expressed appreciation to the Police Command for its role in securing correctional facilities during the recent Free Nnamdi Kanu protest. She also emphasized the need to strengthen the existing synergy between the two agencies.

In his remarks, CP Danladi Isa reiterated the Police Command’s unwavering commitment to sustained cooperation, assuring that his office remains open to continued partnership and mutual support.
