Abia State Abia State Police Command Commences Operational Training for Newly Passed-Out Constables

The Abia State Police Command has commenced a one-week intensive operational training programme for newly passed-out constables as part of efforts to strengthen security and enhance professionalism within the Force.

Flagging off the training on February 23, 2026, the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, said the initiative aligns with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police to build a professionally competent and service-driven Police Force capable of effectively addressing contemporary security challenges.

The commissioner for police  Isa charged the constables to maintain the highest level of discipline throughout the training period. He urged them to strictly adhere to all directives issued by their instructors, emphasizing that discipline, dedication and professionalism remain core values of the Nigeria Police Force.

The training commenced with intensive sessions in musketry and combat craft designed to enhance the operational efficiency of the officers. The programme is also aimed at strengthening their endurance and equipping them with the tactical skills required to effectively protect lives and property across Abia State.

The Commissioner reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to continuous capacity building and professional development, noting that regular training remains critical to improving service delivery and ensuring public safety.
