Renowned Abia-born businessman and philanthropist, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, has been described as a man driven not by political ambition, but by an unwavering commitment to humanitarian service and the upliftment of lives.

Speaking with newsmen, Dr. Anyaso’s Media Aide, Mr. Gabriel Aguwa, dismissed speculations linking the philanthropist’s extensive charitable activities to political interests, stressing that his interventions are consistent, sincere, and people-centred.

According to Aguwa, Dr. Anyaso’s empowerment initiatives are neither seasonal nor politically motivated, but are deeply rooted in his long-standing passion for human capital development and service to God through humanity.

“Dr. Anyaso is not pursuing political power or the politics of 2027. His focus is on changing lives in practical and sustainable ways. This Christmas season alone, he is distributing food items valued at over ₦500 million to thousands of families, providing relief to indigent households struggling to meet basic needs during the festive period,” Aguwa said.

He added that the businessman’s compassion goes far beyond immediate relief efforts. Plans, he disclosed, are already underway for 2026 and beyond to construct residential houses for loyal followers and supporters who have remained steadfast throughout Dr. Anyaso’s public journey, despite his not holding any political office.

Popularly known as Ofuji and guided by the philosophy, “Giving is Living,” Dr. Anyaso is said to have made a personal covenant to dedicate 80 per cent of his earnings to humanitarian causes. Over the past six years, this commitment has translated into remarkable and far-reaching acts of generosity.

Available records indicate that within this period, Dr. Anyaso has donated over 428 vehicles to individuals across various backgrounds, provided business support exceeding ₦2 billion to constituents, associates, and entrepreneurs, and placed about 366 beneficiaries on scholarship schemes to support their educational pursuits.

His philanthropic footprint has also extended to the creative industry. Recently, he attracted widespread public attention following his acquisition of two luxury Mercedes-Benz vehicles, reportedly worth hundreds of millions of naira, for two prominent Igbo musicians. Associates say the gesture underscores his belief in recognising talent, loyalty, and dedication.

Observers note that Dr. Anyaso’s growing influence continues to be anchored not on political ambition, but on deliberate compassion, generosity, and a genuine desire to uplift others reinforcing his belief that true fulfilment lies in giving back to humanity and serving God through service to people.
