Eric Opah Floors Ikoh, Clinches Abia APC Governorship Ticket
A businessman and philanthropist, Chief Eric Opah, has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Abia State ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.

Chief Opah secured a landslide victory at the party’s governorship primary, defeating former Minister of State for Science and Technology, Chief Henry Ikoh.

Announcing the results of the exercise, the APC Governorship and House of Assembly Returning Officer, Mr. Bato Nylong, disclosed that Opah polled 126,977 votes to defeat Ikoh, who scored 5,905 votes.
The primary election, which attracted party faithful and delegates from across the state, was described by party officials as peaceful and well coordinated.

Following the declaration of results, supporters of the APC candidate erupted in celebration, expressing confidence in Opah’s chances at the forthcoming governorship election in Abia State.
