Okereke Hails Nnenna Otti Bus Terminal as Economic Growth Hub During Sanitation Inspection.
Following the renaming of Umuahia Bus Terminal to Nnenna Otti Bus Terminal, the General Manager and Chief Executive of Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA) Mr Ogbonnia Okereke has described the Bus terminal as a portal for economic development in the state.

Mr Okereke disclosed this during an inspection tour to ascertain the level of sanitation equipment installed for passengers at the terminal.
Recall that the General Manager, Mr Ogbonia, had earlier visited the site with a view to developing a waste plan which was backed by the recent tour geared towards the finalization of the waste management and sanitation framework for the facility.

The Environmental boss who was accompanied by the Deputy General manager, Umuahia Zone, Catechist Ambrose Jonah, and the Director of Operations, Mr Chidiebere Ogbuehi, expressed satisfaction that the present administration led by Governor Otti has transformed the state, and has showcased modern-day innovations in all sectors of the economy.
Responding, the Project Manager, Planet Project Limited, Mr Shola Adekpoju noted that the terminal operations and maintenance remain the top priority of the management, adding that waste management is essential in protecting healthy living.
He said the visit was apt and timely, stressed that all installations would be achieved within the shortest time.
According to Adekpoju, waste generation, collection, and evacuation help to keep the environment clean and safe for passengers.
He pointed out that the ticket bay, waiting point, and departure lounge *are* some of the facilities in the area.
