Day 4 of the Phase II implementation of the Mutual Accountability and Community Scorecard (MACS) Initiative in Abia State saw active participation from Batch B officers of the Akwete Area Command. The session brought together officers from Osisioma, Ugwunagbo, Akwete, and Obehie Divisions, representing key sections including Patrol and Guards, Investigations, Gender, and Traffic Units.

The interactive engagement provided a platform for officers to openly share experiences and discuss challenges hindering effective police-community collaboration. The initiative emphasizes transparency, accountability, and the strengthening of trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

The project team, led by Dr. Emeka Ononamadu, Executive Director of the Citizens Centre for Integrated Development and Social Rights (CCIDESOR), employed the Purewise Ranking Model to prioritize the challenges identified during the session, considering both their urgency and importance. This approach ensures that actionable solutions are targeted toward the most pressing issues affecting community policing.

The MACS Initiative continues to make strides in fostering mutual accountability and improving service delivery across Abia State, reinforcing the commitment of both police officers and citizens to collaborative problem-solving.
