Police Arrested fled Criminal for Conspiracy and Armed Robbery

Abia state Police Command has apprehended a suspected male criminal, Chukwujekwu Uzoedo, 26 from Uduma Ezinnachi in Imo State for criminal conspiracy and armed robbery.
The suspect was said to be among the criminals whose hideout were bursted by the Police a week earlier for terrorising and dispossessing students of Abia State University Uturu (ABSU) and other residents of the University community of their oppessions but fled.

According to a press release signed by the Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chioma Chinaka said that leveraging on credible intelligence, operatives of Uturu Divisional Headquarters on 23/725 trailed the suspected fled accomplice identified as one of the accomplices linked to the crimes and arrested him in his hideout.

The release said that the suspect was during interrogation, the suspect confessed to his involvement in the crime, and items recovered from him include One HP Laptop, five phones – a Tecno Android, Tecno POP 5, an Itel Android, Infinix Android and on iPhone 16 phones.
Others include one Black Earpod, One White Earpod, and one Motorcycle

DSP Chinaka assured that investigations are still ongoing with a view of apprehending other fleeing accomplices.
