Abia state Police Command says it has neutralised a Kidnappers den and rescued three kidnapped victims.
According to the Command Police Public Relations Officer DSP Maureen C. Chinaka, named the rescued victims to include 42 years old, Onyedikachi Peter Onyegsi, from Akpou, Isuochi, Umunneochi local government of the state Abia State, 44 years old Ifeanyi Nnabuife, male, 44 years, and 26 years Miss Amarachi Nwaebubu, both from Anambra State.

Also recovered from the Kidnappers include one red Lexus 350 Jeep, two million naira cash, three mobile handsets, and two leg chain shackles
DSP Chinaka said that the successful operation followed a report received by the Command on 12/04/2025 regarding a kidnapping incident that occurred at Afojide Market, Isuochi, and that the operatives of the Command’s Intelligence Response Unit (IRU), acting on credible intelligence, in conjunction with other command tactical teams successfully rescued the three kidnapped victims and above the listed items

She said that the kidnappers connected with the heinous crime have been apprehended and are currently undergoing interrogation .

The release further reiterated the state Police Commissioner Danladi Isa, of the Command’s unwavering commitment to making the entire Abia state safe, secure, and free from crime and criminality.
