From Bende to Harvard: Anyaso Joins Global Leadership Dialogue in Boston

Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, a businessman and philanthropist from Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, has arrived in Boston, Massachusetts, United States, ahead of the 10th Anniversary Conference of the Ife Institute of Advanced Studies at Harvard University, where he is scheduled to serve as a panelist.

The conference, which brings together scholars, policymakers and development experts from across the world, will focus on the theme, “Leadership, Governance and Institutional Trust.”

Speaking ahead of the event, Dr. Anyaso said Africa’s future will be shaped not by the abundance of its natural resources but by the strength of its institutions, the quality of leadership, and the level of trust between governments and citizens.

According to him, his participation in the conference presents an opportunity to contribute to discussions on governance, leadership and development, while also sharing Nigeria’s experiences on the global stage.

The founder of Ofuji Global reflected on his journey from community service in Bende to international business leadership, noting that vision, integrity and commitment to service remain essential ingredients for sustainable progress and nation-building.

Dr. Anyaso expressed optimism that engagements at the conference would generate valuable insights capable of advancing conversations on effective governance and institutional development across Africa.

He further stated that he carries with him the hopes, values and resilience of the Nigerian people, adding that every opportunity to represent the country on an international platform serves as a reminder that dedication and hard work can make any aspiration achievable.

The Harvard University conference is expected to feature distinguished academics, policymakers and thought leaders from different parts of the world discussing contemporary challenges and opportunities in leadership and governance.
