ABIA STATE GOVERNMENT ENDS THREE YEARS ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
PROMISES TO DO MORE FOR THE STATE

Abia state government have concluded her one week long anniversary celebration in commemorating of the governor’s third year in office and the numerous achievements recorded within the period in question .

Speaking at the grand finale of the event , which took place on Friday the 29th day of may 2026 at the Umuahia township stadium, the governor said his three years in office have yielded several achievements that have turned the state around for good .
The governor expressed his happiness that the state have within this three years
witnessed a very conscious and persistent growth in every sector . He enumerated some of his achievements in each sector .which include rehablitation and reconstruction of 414 roads measuring 800km accross the state . He added that in a few weeks time , 82 roads measuring 200 kilometres would be ready for commissioning .

The governor said the Renovation and retrofitting of almost all the primary health care centres in the state is on goíng . He noted that Abia state have won several Laurels in the health sector, making Abia among the best states in terms of health management of her people.

On Education, the governor said over 700 Teachers have bring employed to teach in basic and senior Secondry Schools in the state while renovation of these schools are on top gear ,and most of the schools he said have been fenced round while Security have been put in place to secure the properties of the schools.

Governor Óttï sad within the three years he has stayed in office , his administration have made laudable impacts in all the sectors and his government’ is not going to relent in developing the state., he would rather make effort to increase the pace of development of the state to ensure that Abia is turned into a modern state before his final exit as governor

Several Individuals and Organisations gave their good will messages to the governor and the state on the third year anniversary.
The high light of the event was a grand parade from the Nigerian Police Force which indeed added colour to the event
