Anyaso Clinches Labour Party Ticket for Bende Reps, Pledges Quality Representation

Abia-born businessman and frontline politician, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, popularly known as Ofuji, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to members of the Labour Party and supporters across Bende Federal Constituency following his emergence as the party’s candidate for the Bende Federal House of Representatives seat ahead of the 2027 general election.

Dr. Anyaso clinched the Labour Party ticket after receiving overwhelming endorsement through a voice vote during the party’s primary election held at Igbere Ward A.

The exercise was later followed by a massive gathering at the party’s collation centre in Bende, where thousands of party faithful and supporters reaffirmed their confidence in his candidature in a strong display of unity and solidarity.
Speaking shortly after the conclusion of the primary,

Anyaso described his emergence as a collective victory for the people of Bende Federal Constituency and for all Labour Party members committed to the ideals of progress, unity and people-focused leadership.

He commended party leaders, stakeholders, delegates, ward executives, youth and women groups, as well as supporters from across the constituency for their steadfast support and commitment throughout the primary process.

“I am deeply grateful to every member of our great party who stood with us during this journey. Your overwhelming support and belief in our shared vision have further strengthened my resolve to serve our people with humility, integrity and dedication,” he said.

The Labour Party flagbearer also paid glowing tribute to Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, applauding his style of leadership and commitment to strengthening the party through purposeful governance and inclusive administration.

According to him, the mandate handed to him by party members carries enormous responsibility and further reinforces his determination to champion the interests of Bende people through quality representation and people-oriented development.

“This mandate is bigger than any individual. It reflects the collective aspirations of our people for effective representation, accelerated development and a brighter future for Bende Federal Constituency. I remain committed to justifying the confidence reposed in me,” Anyaso stated.

He further called on party members and supporters to remain united as preparations begin for the 2027 general election, expressing optimism that the Labour Party would consolidate on the success recorded during the primaries and secure victory at the polls.

“With God on our side and with the continued support of our people, we shall move from victory at the primaries to victory in the general election. Together, we will build a more prosperous and progressive Bende Federal Constituency,” he added.

The primary election witnessed a large turnout of party faithful and supporters from various communities across Bende Federal Constituency, a development widely seen as a reflection of the Labour Party’s growing grassroots support and political strength in the area ahead of the 2027 elections.
