OFUJI APPLAUD SECURITY DURING THE YULETIDE SEASON CALLS FOR BETTER WELFARE PACKAGE IN 2026

On the first day of January 2026 , Igbere in Bende LGA Abia State , witnessed an evening that was unusually festive with a charged atmosphere signalling celebrations .

Indeed a notable son and philanthropist from Igbere land Dr Desmond Chimaobi Anyaso popularly known as Ofuji Ndi Igbo, invited the big and the low to Ofuji arena Igbere to sing , dance , shoot knockouts and thank God for his mercies as they welcome 2026 in a grand style . This he said is the maiden edition in Igbere land .

Speaking at the event , the Organiser , a
philanthropist and a political stalwart in Abia state Politics , Dr Desmond Chimaobi Anyaso , while speaking to the press at Ofuji Arena Igbere ,venue of the All White , Fire works and thanks giving evening , commended the security in the South East during the yuletide season . saying there were no significant cases of insecurity in the South East .

He however called for cautious movements , every one should be security conscious while on the move . He used the occassion to call on managers of state funds nation wide to to give commensurate welfare package to tax payers so they can have the feeling of the money they are paying . He stated that this is part of his expectation for the new year including good governance from government . He described 2026 as a very important year politically politicians he said will use this year to prepare for 2027 general elections .

Dr. Anyaso an astitute politician described the evening of 1st January 2026 as first of it’s kind been the first time he is organizing such thanks giving on the first day of the new year instead of 31st December . The evening he said created a platform of togetherness for the people of Bende and others .people coming together in unity to celebrate and thank God for his guidance and Protection in 2025 and in the new year ahead .

Dr Anyaso used the occassion to empower 50 youths with the sum of 50 million naira .

Speaking at the event , the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial zone , Senator Orji Uzor Kalu , who was present at the event , eulogized the organiser saying it is an avenue for Fostering unity among the people of Abia North . He described the gathering as a reminder of shared values and collective strength, particularly at this time when many Nigerians are reflecting on national challenges and expectation of better governance .

The event attracted the presence of many dignitaries including the governor of the state Dr. Alex Otti.
