Customs Area Controller Visits Abia Police Command, Seeks Stronger Collaboration

A delegation from the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Imo/Abia Area Command, Owerri, on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Abia State Police Command to strengthen inter-agency collaboration.
The delegation was led by the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller B. B. Ihenacho. The visit was aimed at familiarizing the Customs leadership with the Police Command, particularly as the operational jurisdiction of the Imo/Abia Area Command extends to Abia State, and to explore ways of enhancing cooperation in the area of security and law enforcement.

Receiving the delegation, the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, alongside members of the Command’s Management Team, expressed appreciation for the visit and described it as timely and necessary for effective security management.

In his remarks, CP Isa assured the Customs Area Controller of the Abia State Police Command’s full support and sustained collaboration, stressing that synergy between security agencies remains critical to ensuring the safety and security of lives and property across the state.

The visit underscores the commitment of both agencies to strengthened partnership, intelligence sharing, and coordinated operations in the interest of public safety and national security.
