GOV. ALEX OTTI’S CRITICS WARNED TO STOP NAME DROPPING AGAINST THE GOVERNOR

The Special Adviser to the governor of Abia state on policies and Interventions ,Reverend Father Christian Anokwuru have called on those opposing the present Dr. Alex Otti led administration in the state to stop using the name of President Ahmed Bola TInubu to perpetuate their unconstructive criticism against the governor of the state Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, and face the real facts on ground .

Father Anokwuru in a write up he made recently stated that some former political office holders in the state are ganging up , using the name of Mr President Bola Ahmed TInubu to mislead the people about governor Otti’s achievements filled administration. The Adviser made it clear that their antics will not work in the state . the people he said are aware that they achieved nothing in the state when they were in power, saying who ever demands equity must go with clean hands .

He observed that when former high political Office holders whose style of governance are still fresh in the minds of the people of the state , come together to adjudicate over a government that is far better than theirs ,then the people have the right to query their credibility .

The Special Adviser said the opposition of the state government , should have relied on what they achieved while in power and not to go name dropping of president TInubu and his Renewed Hope Agenda . He maintained that opposing government’ in a democratic setting is good for check and balances but such criticism must be constructive for a healthy political atmosphere . He noted that
opposition loses its moral force when it is driven by selfishness and bitterness rather than facts, and by personal resentment rather than policy-based criticism .

Opposition he maintained should be built on ideas, track records, and alternative visions, not on borrowed federal
influence. According to him , the people have not forgotten their ugly experiences in past administrations . But ,happily enough their reliance on federal might is paying them no dividends, the people of Abia are not aware of their existence and Mr. President is not listening to these self relevance seekers but the president is aware that Governor Otti is working in Abia state and may be the best performing governor in the country . In conclusion he said
, it is necessary to let them know this: “Tinubu is not backing you; you are backing yourself with Tinubu. Hence, you are on your own!”.
