Abia Police Rescue Missing Four-Year-Old Boy, Seek Parents

The Abia State Police Command has rescued a four-year-old boy identified as Jeremiah Emmanuel Gimba, who is believed to be from Nasarawa State. The child is described as dark-complexioned with no tribal marks.

This was disclosed in a press release issued on Thursday, January 9, 2026, and signed by DSP Maureen Chinaka, the Police Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Police Command.

According to the police, the child was found under circumstances that necessitated police intervention. Investigations are currently ongoing to trace his family and determine how he became separated from his parents or guardians.

The Command has appealed to members of the public, particularly parents or guardians whose child matches the description and is currently missing, to come forward.

Such parents or guardians are advised to visit the Gender Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) at the Abia State Police Command. They may also contact the Police Public Relations Department for further information and assistance.

The police reassured the public of their commitment to child protection and urged citizens to provide any useful information that could help reunite the child with his family.
