CP Abia Emphasises Professionalism as Newly Commissioned Officers Report to the Command.
The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, has reiterated the importance of discipline, professionalism and service excellence as twenty-eight newly commissioned officers reported to the Command on Tuesday.
The officers, members of the Nigeria Police Academy Regular Course 7 (RC7), were received on January 7, 2026, by the Commissioner of Police alongside his management team, in line with the Inspector-General of Police’s commitment to strengthening manpower capacity and promoting community policing. The officers comprise nineteen males and nine females, all indigenes of Abia State.
Welcoming and congratulating the officers, CP Danladi Isa reminded them that they are no longer cadets but commissioned officers of the Nigeria Police Force, stressing that discipline remains the bedrock of the Force. He charged them to uphold the highest standards of conduct in the discharge of their duties.
The Commissioner emphasized that the Abia State Command maintains zero tolerance for unprofessional conduct and indiscipline, warning that any action capable of tarnishing the image of the Force would not be condoned. According to him, every police officer is an image-maker of the Nigeria Police and must consistently project a positive image.
CP Danladi Isa further encouraged the officers to be professionally competent, service-driven, people-friendly and compliant with the rule of law, in line with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police.
He informed them that their mandatory attachment, which will last twelve calendar months, will expose them to the four major sections of a police division Counter, Divisional Crime Branch (DCB), Administration, and Motor Traffic Department (MTD).
He advised the officers to remain humble, open-minded and eager to learn, noting that their performance would be assessed after four months in each department.
In response, the newly commissioned officers expressed appreciation to the Commissioner of Police for his guidance and assured him of their commitment to serving as good ambassadors of the Nigeria Police Force.
