Abia First Lady Celebrates Accountant-General Njum Onyemenam at 50

The wife of the Governor of Abia State, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, has described Dr. Njum Onyemenam, the Accountant-General of Abia State, as a seasoned professional whose years of experience in strategy, business planning, treasury management and taxation have contributed significantly to the ongoing transformation of the state.

Mrs. Otti made the remarks during the 50th birthday celebration of Njum Onyemenam held at the International Conference Centre in Umuahia.

She said Dr. Onyemenam has continued to play a vital role behind the scenes in helping to actualise the vision of Governor Alex Otti to position Abia State prominently among progressive states in the country.

The First Lady prayed for God’s continued preservation upon the celebrant, noting that the golden jubilee was not only a personal milestone but also a celebration of exemplary leadership, transparency and an enduring commitment to service to humanity.

In his remarks, the Methodist Archbishop of Umuahia, Bishop Chibuzo Opoko, said the life of Dr. Njum Onyemenam stands as a testimony to God’s faithfulness to those who place their trust in Him.

According to the cleric, the jubilee celebration represents a sacred moment of gratitude for God’s continuous guidance, favour and support over the years..

Responding, Dr. Njum Onyemenam expressed appreciation to family members, friends, colleagues and well-wishers who joined in celebrating with her. She reaffirmed her commitment to continue discharging her responsibilities diligently in support of the administration of Governor Alex Otti.

The event featured praise and worship sessions, cultural dances and goodwill messages, and attracted top government officials, political stakeholders and other dignitaries from across Abia State.
