OFUJI Initiative Ends Constituency Tour with Easter Outreach.

Residents of Bende Federal Constituency have experienced a wave of renewed hope following the successful conclusion of a ward-to-ward humanitarian outreach spearheaded by the Chima Anyaso Foundation.

The initiative, which traversed all 13 wards within the constituency, culminated on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, marking a significant moment of relief and encouragement for many families facing economic challenges.

Led by philanthropist and business leader, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, the outreach provided essential food supplies and financial assistance during the Lenten season.

The effort not only addressed immediate needs but also fostered a sense of unity and shared responsibility among residents.

Throughout the exercise, the foundation adopted a grassroots engagement strategy known as the “Direct Touch Initiative,” ensuring that support reached individuals and households directly. Organisers explained that the approach was designed to translate goodwill into tangible impact at the community level.

The final leg of the tour featured visits to Uzuakoli Ward, hosted at Amuhi Eluama, and Umuimenyi/Nkpa Ward, held at Lohum Imenyi Ukwu in Achi Village Square, Nkpa Amaogbeke Amaohoro.

These visits drew large gatherings of community stakeholders, including traditional rulers, youth and women groups, religious leaders, and town union representatives.

Participants used the opportunity to interact with the foundation’s team, express appreciation, and reaffirm their commitment to unity and grassroots development.

He described the outreach as a strong example of people-focused leadership and meaningful community engagement.

Representing Dr. Anyaso at the events were Ezeogo (Dr.) Emeka Onuoha, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, alongside Pastor Okechukwu Dike, who led the delegation through the final activities.

As the tour came to a close, organisers reiterated the movement’s central message: “The OFUJI Initiative: An Idea Whose Time Has Come.”
For many beneficiaries, the outreach delivered more than material aid it restored hope and reinforced the belief that lasting change can be achieved through consistent grassroots action, one community at a time.
